Paul Kim brings over 26 years of specialized geotechnical engineering and geological
expertise, directing public and private site investigations across California, Arizona,
Nevada, and Oregon. His comprehensive project portfolio encompasses complex
residential infill developments, commercial infrastructure, solar array fields, and
healthcare facilities.
Throughout his career, Paul has led critical evaluations involving
slope stability, liquefaction mitigation, expansive soils, earth retention systems, deep
pile foundations, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) testing.
Paul holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Distinguishing his practice, Paul is licensed in California as both a Geotechnical Engineer (GE) and a Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG). Holding dual licensure as both a GE and a CEG is a rare distinction shared by very few professionals in the industry. This dual perspective allows him to seamlessly bridge the gap between subsurface engineering mechanics and complex geological analysis, providing rare, highly integrated solutions to challenging geotechnical problems.
Paul is also licensed in the states of Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii.
Outside of the office, Paul enjoys traveling with his family, hiking local trails, and exploring unique local eateries.
